Burned out

The tutorial is finally finished and sent off to JewelryLessons.com, ID:# 123237.  That is, if anyone is interested.  Only thing is you must be a member of the site and pay if you want to see the whole thing.  You'll have to decide if it' worth it.  I seriously doubt I will receive much out of it.  98 percent of member are wire wrappers of one kind or the other and what I do in making jewelry doesn't generate much interest.  The tutorial in reality is an exercise in futility due to the environment of the site.  I don't have anything against the wire people, it's just that the tutorial is an ugly duckling, something to be ignored.  There is a good chance that I will do no more tutorials.  They take up far too much time and effort for the reward.

I'm taking a break from doing anymore jewelry and posting.  Back in a couple weeks.

  2. Thanks, Christine. BTW it's john, not Jim, but that's o.k., just don't call me late for dinner!

  3. John, I just checked out your new tute. It doesn't look like an ugly duckling, it looks very useful!! Here's a link to it.

I'm going to be venturing into cold metal connections as soon as I clear my desk of projects and this will come in real handy.

You are always a wealth of information! Thank you!

  4. Thanks, Tela. The reason I said ugly duckling is that I am unable to see the finished tut. JLAdmin can see it, but all I get is the html version which is useless to me. Plus the word count restriction limits some necessary explanation. Part of the problem is me in that I don't keep up with the continual changes JL makes. Some folks can roll off tutorials like pouring water out of a bucket. For me it is time consuming and in reality it is a waste of time.
